The Watch Professional is a specialist watch repair company founded by Senior Watchmaker Alexander Waller and supported by a small team of highly experienced, brand-accredited watchmakers.
From our state-of-the-art workshop in the heart of Chelmsford, Essex, we provide expert servicing, repairs and restoration for luxury watches, combining manufacturer-level expertise with outstanding customer service at every stage of the process.
Alex began his career as an Apprentice Watchmaker at Swiss Time Services, where he completed his watchmaking training and remained for eight years. During this time, he amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience servicing and repairing a wide range of luxury watch brands.
He then joined Omega as a Senior Watchmaker at the brand’s flagship boutique on Oxford Street, London. While there, he successfully achieved Omega Level 3 accreditation through the Omega Watchmaker Evaluation Program, further developing his expertise in the servicing and repair of Omega timepieces.
With over 15 years of watchmaking experience, Alex’s next move was to Watches of Switzerland on Regent Street, London. Working alongside highly experienced Rolex-accredited watchmakers, he gained invaluable knowledge of Rolex servicing and repair techniques, further broadening his expertise across many of the world’s leading luxury watch brands.
Along with his Omega accreditation, Alex is also a Panerai-accredited watchmaker. He recently attended the Panerai Manufacture and headquarters in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where he successfully completed the brand’s official watchmaker training programme and examinations.
Having left Watches of Switzerland, Alex would go onto start The Watch Professional in a dedicated area at his home, before relocating in early 2026 to purpose-designed premises on Moulsham Street, Chelmsford. The workshop was built to his own exacting specifications and equipped with the modern tooling and equipment expected of a manufacturer-accredited service centre, allowing the business to continue going from strength to strength.
