FAQ

How do I send you my watch?

Please contact me via email and I will let you know a price (subject to inspection), and if you’re happy to go ahead, I will provide you with my secure PO box address. I only recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery with the correct insurance value selected.

What happens after you receive my watch?

First of all I will confirm safe receipt of it within 24 hours of its arrival. Then within 48 hours of my confirmation of receipt, I will make an initial inspection of the watch. At this point I will confirm the price of the service and if any parts are required. If you are happy to proceed, the watch will then join my service queue.

How long will you need my watch for?

This varies, I will confirm the service queue length after receiving your initial email.

Why do you use a PO box?

I use a secure PO box for security reasons. I don’t want my workshop address to become freely available on the internet.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. The watch will be returned with a 1 year warranty on the work carried out, this doesn’t include accidental damage.

Will my watch appear on your blog?

Most probably, at the moment I am trying to feature every watch I service on there, but depending on workload at the time it may not always be possible. It may take a week or 2 for me to write it up after the watch has been returned to you.

Do you test for water resistance?

Yes, and I will replace seals as necessary. However please note that on vintage watches it is not always possible to make them water resistant due to wear to the case. My warranty does not cover water damage.
