Watch Service: Omega Divers 300. Cal 1120 (Titanium)
Ive posted an Omega Divers before, but not the titanium version. Phil sent me his for a service and case brighten. The key ways titanium varies from steel is the fact it is a lighter metal – noticeably lighter when held, but also a harder metal, making refinishing it more difficult than steel.
Watch Service: Omega DeVille. Cal 620.
Another vintage Omega, this one houses the manually wound Omega 620 calibre. Anna has opted to have this one fully restored – the movement will receive a full service, the case will be sympathetically refinished along with a light polish of the glass and finished off with a dial restoration.
Watch Service: Omega Geneve. Cal 613.
Ive had a fair few vintage watches come through recently, I’m not complaining though – I quite like working on them. David sent me this one in for a service and case brighten. The Omega calibre 613 is to all intents and purposes the manual wind version of the Omega 550 family.
Watch Service: Omega Geneve. Cal 552
The second watch of the duo sent in by Andy is another Omega, this one a vintage with the Omega calibre 552 inside. Its a bullet proof movement and certainly built a little differently to the more modern calibres, this one happens to be in very nice condition, just in need of a service.
Watch Service: Omega Divers 300. Cal 1120.
Andy sent me 2 of his Omegas for service, this one and a vintage, which will feature in the next post on my blog. This one hadn’t been serviced since 2007, so was well overdue. The Omega 1120 as seen in this watch, is basically an ETA 2892-A2 with a few minor changes.
Watch Service: Omega Speedmaster Professional. Cal 1861. (The Moon Watch)
The Omega Speedmaster professional, aka the moonwatch. Its a classic watch with a rich history, and one of the most iconic watches in the world. It is powered by the Omega 1861 calibre and I’m sure many would agree its one of the most important watches Omega have ever sold.
