In the media: The Watch Professional articles have been featured in ‘Timepiece’ the magazine of BWCMG. The Watch Professional is extremely proud to have had two articles featured in the magazine ‘Timepiece’, magazine of the British Watch & Clock makers Guild, with plans in place for more to be featured until the end of this […]
Watch Service: Ebel 1911. Cal 134 (Zenith El Primero).

Watch Service: Ebel 1911. Cal 134 (Zenith El Primero). Another first post in a while, over a year in fact, sorry for the lack of posts! This was actually a watch I serviced a little while ago, but a watch I very much liked. I am particularly fond of the movement, Ebel calibre 134, also […]
Watch Service: Rolex GMT Master II. Cal 3186.

Watch Service: Rolex GMT Master II. Cal 3186. Its been a while since my last post, trying to balance blog posts with actually servicing the watches gets more and more difficult the busier I get. What a watch this is though, the Rolex GMT Master II with blue and black bezel, aka the Batman.
Watch Service: Oris Aquis Date. Cal Sellita SW200-1.

Watch Service: Oris Aquis Date. Cal Sellita SW200-1. Nigel sent me his Oris watch as it wasn’t winding anymore, at 6 years old its also due a service. It houses the Sellia SW200-1, pretty much a direct clone of the ETA 2824. Sellita are becoming more popular with many brands, mainly due to their availability […]
Explained: Whats involved in a watch service and should I have it done?

I often get asked what is it I actually do when I service a watch, what’s involved and is it really necessary? My entire website is full of different watches being serviced and I wanted to make it clearer exactly what steps each watch goes through in the process of its service whilst with me.
Watch Service: Omega Constellation. Cal 564

Another vintage Omega for service, this time the Omega Constellation housing the 564 calibre. I previously featured on the blog a calibre 565, its physically identical to this movement, with the only difference being the 564 here is a chronometer grade movement.
Watch Service: Rolex Datejust. Cal 3135.

Another Rolex in for a full service – I wont complain, as ive said before, they are relatively straight forward to service and dont cause many problems at all. This one happens to have a mother of pearl diamond dial – Ill need to be very careful with this.
Watch Service: Panerai Daylight. Cal OP XII.
Watch Service: Panerai Daylight. Cal OP XII. The first Panerai of the blog, the Luminor Daylight. Like all Panerais its a sizeable watch and very unique in its appearance, especially with the trade mark crown protector. Interestingly Panerai were struggling for sales in the 90’s, and it wasn’t until Sylvester Stallone picked up on them, […]
Watch Service: Breitling Superocean Heritage. Cal ETA 2824-2.
Another Breitling service for the blog, and I’ve seen quite a few of this particular model. This one was sent in by Ryan, it is 10 years old and yet to receive its first service, so it is certainly due one. The watch is also receiving a case brighten, to refresh its good looks and […]
Watch Service: Omega GMT. Cal 1128.
This is the second Omega GMT of the blog, Jamie sent it in for a service as it had stopped working. They are a very good movement, not too dissimilar to the 1120, but the one weakness this movement has is the GMT hour wheel. The spring within the wheel weakens and there is no […]
Watch Service: Omega Deville. Cal 565.
The second watch of the duo sent in by Matt, the classic vintage Omega Deville. Its actually very similar to the Omega 613 calibre that I posted a few weeks ago, the difference being that the 565 here, is the automatic version. Both feature a date with quick date setting.
Watch Service: Seiko Kinetic. Cal 5M62A.
Just a short one today, the service of this Seiko kinetic. Matt sent me two watches, this Seiko and a vintage Omega, which will feature as the next post on the blog. This is actually a movement exchange in reality as opposed to a service, meaning the whole movement will be replaced with a new […]
Watch Service: Ebel Voyager. Cal ETA 2892-2.
The first Ebel service for the blog, the Ebel Voyager automatic. Its an ETA 2892-2 movement with a few adjustments to accommodate the rotating 24 hour ring that sits around the edge of the dial. I can tell straight away from winding this watch, its in desperate need of a service.
Watch Service: Omega Geneve. Cal 613.
Ive had a fair few vintage watches come through recently, I’m not complaining though – I quite like working on them. David sent me this one in for a service and case brighten. The Omega calibre 613 is to all intents and purposes the manual wind version of the Omega 550 family.
Watch Service: Breitling Colt. Cal ETA 2893-2.
The next watch for service is a Breitling Colt, the movement, ETA 2893-2 is the same as the more commonly used ETA 2892-2, but with the added GMT function. This particular Breitling has been sent to me as its stopping randomly.
Watch Service: Rolex Oyster Perpetual. Cal 2230.
Another Rolex, but this time a more modern 2230 calibre. As a ladies watch, I quite like it. Simple design and timeless, like all Rolex watches – its what they do so well. Other than growing a bit in size to appeal to the more modern fashion of larger watches, on the whole, they havent […]
Watch Service: Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph. Cal ETA 7750.
Having finished the service of the Tissot Seastar, a fairly simple manually wound movement, I move onto the more involved ETA 7750 chronograph. The watch was passed to me by a good friend of mine, apparently the watch is losing time and stopping randomly – a good sign its time for a service.
Watch Service: Tissot Seastar Seven. Cal T781-1.
This Tissot watch was given to me by Martin for service, It has a great deal of sentimental value to him as it was his late fathers watch, naturally he wants to keep it in full working order and looking as pristine as possible.
